Tabuk

Overview

The city of Tabuk holds religious significance for Muslims around the world, since it is the place, where the Battle of Tabuk had taken place during the time off Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Today, this same city has acquired administrative significance in Tabuk province of Saudi Arabia and has transformed into the capital city of the province. Tabuk has remained a capital city since times immemorial. As long back as 500 B.C., Tabuk was the capital city of a prosperous province called Al Ayaneyan.

Major Attractions

Tabuk old castle: The summer resort to Roman Empire in TabukCity is rich in monuments such as the old castle which was built in Tabuk 3500 BC.

The city abounds in numerous historical structures, which reflect the progression of Islam over the decades. Besides the monuments and mosques, the historic structure that draws the highest public attraction is a railway station that had been built during the Ottoman period.

The location of the city enables it to experience a Mediterranean type of climate where summers are not very hot and winters can be described to be mild. Fogs and frosts are quite common in the area during the winters, and these sometimes lead to freezing of water bodies. Tabuk also houses one of the most significant archaeological sites in the world called Al Bidaa. Tabuk experiences heavy rainfall mostly during the winter months and this often leads to the frequent mists and frosts in the city.

There are two museums in Tabuk awdh Al-blewi museum and Al-Masodi museum they are personal museum but easily access them by tourists.

Venue of Battle Tabuk: Tabuk is not a big city still it has a lot of attraction for the tourists coming to this historic site. Anyone can access the site of Tabuk Fight during the early days of Islam.

Visit rose Farms: Tabuk flowers with his magnificent smell and beautiful shapes exported to many countries in Europe and America in annual and daily basis. Tabuk rose farm produce more than 18 million flower per year.

There are good hotels like Massillon and Sahara gives a class accommodation. The tourist can also visit the locality and they can have good shopping at variety of shopping malls. The visitors of the city can hike on different tracks just to relax their expeditors wish.

Shopping: there are many markets and malls in Tabuk that range from small traditional kiosks to hyper mall. Some of these malls: Al-HokairCenter, spikes Complex, TabukCityCenter, Prince Fahd bin Sultan Avenue and The central region market.

Travelers can visit Tabuk from November to June each year and can enjoy this incredible city.
